SVA Research Vessels
Support Vessels of Alaska, Inc. (SVA) offers safely operated Research Vessels for your project. Our vessels are USCG designated as Oceanographic Research Vessels (ORV) and fully licensed by the U.S. Coast Guard as required by law and pass all appropriate U.S Coast Guard requirements for safety and seaworthiness.
SVA has conducted projects throughout Alaskan waters to include the Chukchi Sea, Bering Sea, Aleutian Islands, Gulf of Alaska, Cook Inlet, S.E. Alaskan waters as well as Washington State and Canadian waters. Wherever your studies may take you, onshore, nearshore, or offshore, SVA has research vessels to support your project’s varying needs.
Our crews are dedicated to assisting your staff in completing your project in a safe and efficient manner. They are experienced in deploying and towing different oceanographic research equipment to include autonomous vessels. The crew is familiar with and experienced in skiff operations to include beach landings and rough weather retrieval.
SVA’s research vessels (ORV) vary in size and can accommodate your research project whether it is a short one day project or a full season remote area endeavor, summer or winter.
