Support Vessels of Alaska, Inc. (SVA) supports various marine surveys, research, housing, and private specialty charters. We are a veteran-owned small business based out of Homer that operates throughout Alaskan waters and other coastlines or remote areas.
SVA provides year-round safe, reliable, and well-maintained vessels for various maritime operations. Our professional and enjoyable crewmembers are trained to safely assist our clients in achieving their project needs.
We support hydrographic surveys, geophysical surveys, cable and pipeline route surveys, coring, mooring deployment and retrieval, oil and mining exploration, environmental remediation, oceanographic research, remote island research, marine mammal research, gear transport, passenger transport, housing vessels, adventure charters, and private charters.
We have experience working safely in some of the most challenging waters, from the ice edge in the Arctic to the farthest reaches of the Aleutians to the Southern tip of the panhandle. Other areas of operation include Canadian waters, the US West coast, and Hawaiian waters.
Our Zero Harm policy states: “Manage risk, so no injuries to employees or property damage, environmental impact, community, or customer harm occur while working.” Support Vessels of Alaska, Inc. believes everyone benefits from a safe and healthy work environment.
