  • Qualifier 105

The Qualifier 105 (Q105)  has unique qualifications and proven itself as a very capable SURVEY, RESEARCH, and HOUSING vessel. It has a long history of providing quality long range service (4000 miles) for large groups over extended periods of time. It is capable of surveying 24/7 for up to 30 days or more onsite.

The Qualifier 105 (Q105) is a one of a kind vessel. For its length, it is very beamy and has a shallow draft. This allows the vessel to operate in both exposed waters as well as perform critical near shore work. It is very economical to operate and is U.S. Coast Guard certificated to operate 200 miles offshore with 36 overnight passengers as well as having a Oceanographic Research Vessel (ORV) designation. The interior has 2 private offices, large seating/dining area, 4 heads, and 13 staterooms. It is equipped with an A-Frame, 3.5 ton deck crane, davit(s), boom, hydraulically operated multi-beam pole, survey skiff/tender, and optional deck lab (wet or dry).

Safety is number one priority aboard the Qualifier 105 (Q105) and its long list of safety features demonstrates our commitment to safety. We have a Zero Harm policy of “Manage risk so no injuries to employees or property damage, environmental impact, community, or customer harm occur while doing work.” With three main engines, life rafts for 45 persons, doubled up electronics for redundancy, U.S. Coast Guard inspected every year, and a long list of other safety features, you can be assured you and your employees are on a safe operating vessel.

The Qualifier 105 (Q105) is an aluminum vessel with a spacious interior and large aft deck (27′ x 24′ of clear, unobstructed deck space) is clearly a unique vessel that is able to support many types of operations such as oil exploration, mining exploration, environmental clean-up, oceanographic research, site hazard surveys, and many other maritime operations.
